distance: 15.3 miles
weather: sunny, warm
kayakers: Bruce Taterka, Jürgen Englerth
We expected this to be mostly flatwater and exchanged the canoe with our seakayaks. As it turned out, this section offered more whitewater, than the rest of the Passaic.
The effects of the flooding, earlier this year, were still visible everywhere. Driftwood and drebis was hanging high up in the trees and under the bridges.
We portaged Dundee Dam on the left.
We ended the trip at Riverside Park in Lyndhurst.
Since there is only one leg left until we reach Newark Bay, we decided to extend our project to the Verrazano Narrows Bridge.
