Most of this trip went through "Great Piece Meadows" where there was almost no sign of the near civilization. We did not see any human beings until we reached Two Bridges. Instead, we encountered scores of kingfishers, great blue herons, egrets, plovers, whitetail deer, an otter and a groundhog.
The water level was very low, but navigable.
The mother of all mushrooms...
Due to frequent flooding, houses are built on stilts.
